The road from Punta Blanca to Laguna Chapala in Baja is a fun drive with plenty of rocks and silt. The 30-mile road took three hours to traverse, including pausing-and-reflecting time.

Hi Jim, how fast do you need to go with out sinking in the silt and getting stuck?
178 mph is optimum.
What time did you go through there? The silt after the lakebed looks a lot deeper than when we went through. We got to Chapalla about 10 am Saturday.
